ISRO’s maiden small satellite launch vehiclecarrying earth observation satellite EOS- 02 andco-passenger scholars satellite AzaadiSAT lifted off from this spaceport on Sunday.

The SLV- D1/ EOS- 02 charge by the Indian space agency is aimed at garnering a larger pie in the small launch vehicles request, as it can place the satellites into Low Earth Orbit.

“ The SLV can put loads( mini, micro or nanosatellites) importing up to 500 kg into the 500 km planar route, ” the Indian Space Research Organization said.
At the end of a seven- and-a-half-hour preamble, the 34- metre-long SLV soared majestically at9.18 am amid cloudy skies to place the satellites into the intended route.

The EOS- 02 is an experimental optic remote seeing satellite with a high spatial resolution. EOS- 02 belongs to the microsatellite series of space crafts.
The AzaadiSAT is an 8U Cubesat importing around 8kgs. Girl scholars from pastoral regions across the country were guided to make these loads.

The loads are integrated by the pupil platoon of Space Kidz India. “ The ground system developed by ‘ Space Kidz India ’ will be utilised for entering the data from this satellite,
